Chloorkop Landfill
Gas chilling for the EnviroServ Chloorkop registered CDM landfill-gas destruction project.

Stellenbosch is the newest addition to the Western Cape landfill programme delivered with Fountain Green Energy. The plant arrived as a complete, pre-commissioned MGP HTF 400 container so that civil works on site were limited to a slab, a fence and a gas connection.
The Hofstetter high-temperature flare inside the container destroys methane at well above 1,000 °C with the retention time demanded by Clean Development Mechanism methodologies, and the certified measurement train logs every cubic metre for emission-reduction accounting.
