The project
Bellville South was commissioned alongside Coastal Park as part of the City of Cape Town’s landfill-gas destruction programme. The MGP 3000 container carries a 2,500 Nm³/h Hofstetter high-temperature flare fed by two 3,000 Nm³/h blowers.
All gas destroyed is metered with CDM-certified instrumentation so that Certified Emission Reductions can be verified and sold.
