SAB Prospecton Brewery

A de-humidification and boosting skid pushing brewery biogas one kilometre to the boiler house.

Biogas

The project

The brewery’s effluent plant produces biogas that is worth far more in the boiler than in a flare. The challenge was distance: the boiler house sits roughly a kilometre from the digester.

Renew engineered a compact skid combining a FriCon gas chiller rated for 350 Nm³/h with a variable-speed centrifugal blower adding 300 mbar. Chilling drops the dew point so no condensate forms in the long pipeline, and the boost overcomes the pipeline pressure loss so the boiler always sees stable gas.
